ok. if anyone can help me I would love you forever. I just put a newer motor on my 78' put the original carbs back on and to my dismay feul is leaking out of all four pod filters. to paint the picture, there is one hose running from the petcock to boot #2 and one hose running to boot #3. one hose goin from petcock to the forward connecter inbetween 2 and 3 and one goin to 3 and 4. but I cant figure out what the rear hose connectors are.

Hey Bobber,
Okay, the 2 vacuum hoses from the back/inside of the petcocks to the intake manifolds is to make the petcocks flow on your Standard 78E. CHECK!
The LOWER "T" fittings on the carbs next to the float bowls are the fuel inlets! The UPPER....which I'm assuming you mean by FORWARD "T" fittings are ONLY VENTS for the bowls, and are to be connected to just hoses, "T'd" together but left to VENT!!!
IF you have fuel lines connected to them, that's why it's flooding out!

Hi Bobberbetty,
as I understand your post, the carbs and their fuel connections are the same as on the old engine? Did the carbs leak before you swapped in a different engine? It's all the same stuff that was there before?
It must have been something you hooked up wrong.Fred Hill, S'toon
