    Righto

    Oh yeah...I forgot the fan.

I think you would want to rejet BEFORE going through all of that work. Otherwise you'd be doing it for nothing.

So pre sync with bread tie or some other small width thing
Once you do the "bread tie, you WILL have to turn the idle down.
And then check fuel mix then vacuum sync then fuel mix again, and possibly rejet and. All of the former again?
Yes, and if you look from the MAIN PAGE, in the "Tech Tips" there is a tip on doing the sync, as well as setting the idle mixture screws. It does take a while at first, but it will get faster. The last time I did mine, it took one hour flat from parked to riding.

        sync

so did I mention me exhaust is a high flow 4/1 bassini do you thhink my jetting is correct 142.5 main. I have some pilot jets , a set of 42.5, 47.5 and 50 I looked in the tech tips and it says 45 is stock pilot for a 78e it seems to idle rough and then creep up and rev up to 4-5k is it sync or just mix, like I said in prior post I vacuum synced last week so how does the different jet affect sync, also do I have to adjust the needles

          Garth

The manual says 42.5 is the correct pilot jet for a 78E.

            Always

It is always necessary to synch again after taking the carbs off or making any changes to the mix or jets. There is really no way to get around a vacuum synch. If you skip it your bike will probably run crappy.
