    Rear Needle bearing discontinued!!!

Zanotti and Bike Bandit have both told me that the part #93313-62010-00 is discontinued. I am stuck! I read in the forum that this is a YAMAHA only part, but now it is gone forever? I checked the Yamaha website and the whole rear wheel assembly has no parts listed. Did anyone have luck finding a replacement?

    ID

Is the ID 20mm. If so, then don't worry. take it out, mic it then call a bearing/transmission shop. They will find one (WAY CHEAPER THAN YAMAHA TOO!)

You SHOULD be able to find TWO bearings that will fit together in the space of the single bearing. As xschop said, mic the old bearing, and then call a bearing supply. You CAN get them, as I looked about three years ago. My problem was the Yamaha bearing was LESS MONEY than two bearings with a spacer.

        So what size is it?

        Hi Fiznix,
What is the bore, OD & length of this bearing? If it is for sure an unobtanium special bearing, get the nearest size of commercial bearing (one with the same OD & a larger bore is best but it depends on what you can find in the catalogs) and press a sleeve over it or into it or whatever it takes to make it fit.

Those numbers won't mean anything to a bearing shop, that bearing was made special by Koyo only for Yamaha, so your best bet would be as previously written, to mic it and try to match two side by side?

I called yamaha, they told me to pound sand. I called the manufacturer, INA and they told me if it was made exclusively for yamaha and to contact them. I will try some bearing shops to try to match up, though I wish I had the exact part to replace. Thanks everyone for responding so fast and with so many responses. Keeping another 1100 on the road!

Also, check out All Balls Racing. They had listed a rear wheel bearing and seal kit for a 79 xs11. It was $13, but listed that it came with 1 bearing and 2 seals. So, maybe not. It might be worth calling them though with the specs and telling them about out issue.
