  • Changing handlebars and the MC

The MC base is angled to remain level on the buckhorn handlebars. Would changing to a flatter bar mess up the MC as it would not sit level on "flatter" bars.

    Hope that made sense.

    Thanks.

That is correct. It "should" still work, but may be harder to fill. The second option would be buy a "new" unit, designed for the normal bars.

Mine works fine on drag bars. and it's sits pretty flat. I do have to turn the bars to the left to fill it.

Mine worked fine on super bike bars (before I changed it out).

I have CB750 bars on my 79SF and the master sits at an angle but still works fine. I just turn the bars all the way to the left while on sidestand to remove cap and fill. That levels it out. You shouldn't have a problem. HTH>

Mine works fine on my 2 1/2" rise bars. To fill or blead I turn the bars to the left and loosen the bolts a bit to rotate the MC to a relatively flat position. Simpe.

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.
