  • Brake adjustment

I have a sticky rear brake on my 82 xj11 and I was wondering if there is a way to adjust it? The brake pedal sticks down. Thanks again.

I just had similar problem, tried couple adjustments but eventually found that the spring just needed good shot of pb blast to loosen things up.

If the pedal is "sticking" remove it and clean the shaft, little grease and re-install. There is some adjustment on the rear master cylinder but has nothing to do with a sticky pedal.

What condition are your calipers/MC/proportioning valve in ?

Hey mro, I got the shaft out and got it based in anti-seize compound, but when I tapped the shaft out the big spring that puts your foot pedal back to the ''off " position popped off and I can't figure out how it goes back on. Please help, thanks again.
