I dont have the rotors yet and I haven't bought the brakes yet either. I do have the xs calipers if they will work. Ir I could just purchase r-1 brake calipers... whatever you would suggest. I just am unwilling to go r-1 forks.

Get the rotors for your R1 wheel and Get the Busa brake calipers, you will not be disappointed. If you shop the bay, you will see that either set will run about the same, so why not get the best... The later R1 rotors are also 320mm, But the 6-pot Busa calipers could easily fit the 310mm rotors... chop

      • TAKE THAT BACK!

Get the R1 rotors for your R1 wheel FIRST. Install them and then measure the distance between the inner rotor face to outter spoke surface....I can measure the Busa calipers and let you know if they will fit.....

          • wheel widening

This is mostly for 79xs11f. Don't know if you still want to use stock looking wheel or not, but this info might help.

Got in touch with Kosman specialties. They will widen an XS650 wheel for $525+ freight...Take5-6 weeks. that is for 5.5-6.0 wheel width, or 2.5-3.0" widening. they are at kosman.net By adding 1.5" on each side, I would imagine you would need to machine something to space out your sprocket, possibly your brake disc?

            • I must admit I have not read this entire thread but man that chaindrive unit is a thing of beauty.. I wish I had some real cash to throw at this bike cause Id be doin that just to go back to chain. The 100 miles I put on this bike is more than Ive ever ridden on shaft drive bikes. Doesnt bother me much but I definatly see where it effects you.. you can feel it. My tires were poop so I was tip toe'ing around anyway but still. Got some new tires comin friday and hopefully my valve shims show up and I'll be goin again this weekend to begin my tire run in. Just wanted to say that is some really nice work man..

                      Okay,
Soo what do I look for in a rear wheel if I am replacing a zrx 1100 cast wheel? Can you help?

                      • real wheel

I believe Audijunky used a wide spoked rim from a H.....HHHH....A,,rrrlle....y.......It's a sin to spell that name on here in full.... .....Best fit I believe would be a 5 or 5.5 inch rim for the ZRX swinger. But since the chaindrive housing is adjustable at the front sprocket you would have no problem putting on a 6.0 inch rear rim and slapping on a full 200mm rear width radial.......

                        • Ok now i REALLY want a chain drive. But can't afford one! lol! I'm a broke whiteboy! Anyways, the kit looks awesome. How does it perform with the chain drive as opposed to the shaft drive? Does the brake lines and what not match up as far as length goes? Total how much am i looking at as far as COMPLETLY converting to a chain drive? Just need an idea of how much to start selling my body for! hahahaha! Just kidding. Anyways, bikes look good fellas! Can't wait to see some more!
Yes it's a damn nice bike, yes it's in REALLY good condition, yes it would be a shame to chop it, BUT damn how cool would it look with ape hangers?

about $1-1.2kfor total conversion if you actually pay for a complete ZRX11 rear end......or piece together from the Bay. Are you going to the Bike night @ hooters later?
