True, but it seems strange that there would be an issue with it, since Yamaha sold the Windjammer on the Standard (not the Special) from the dealer. Could it be that the bars on Tab's bike are just rotated too far forward?

Mine interfere, and I have the bars as far back as I can get them without them hitting the tank. I might be able to reposition the mirrors a bit back and adjust the heads to compensate, but I think it will cut visibility slightly, as I've tried to position them to where they are as far out to the side as I can get them.

Right, a special would have less interference issues than a standard as the standard bars are not pulled back anything near as much.

If you can find a set of "bar backs", they fix the problem. I'm running fairings on my standards, and that is the ONLY way to clear a windjammer with the mirrors. The Pacifico does NOT have the problem, as the windshield is farther forward.

            Bar backs?

            Hey ken:

            What exactly are bar backs.

I tried a set of old special bars from my 650 but: the hose from the master to the tee is too short.
I think they would clear tho.

BarBacks are a device that bolts into the stock handlebar location, and moves the mount point up and back about 1". All the wires, hoses and cables will still work. The nice part is it takes about 5 minutes to install or remove, and they are solid feeling.

                    Bar Backs

Where is a good place to get them?
