Kurt, per usual you did a great job! I too have returned to the forum after a hiatus AND I picked up a 78 sr500. My first bike (before my XS11G) was a red SR500. Now later in life I just picked up this 78 SR500. Rebuilt both front and rear calipers and cleaned the carb twice. She starts first kick now. Need to ride over to Tahoe before the winter sets in here. Congrats again on your project. I use it as inspiration to clean up mine some more. Could you drop by and restore my wheels? (grin)
