It's not a bike to me either. Not garbage though... I mean, as a means of transport, I think it's pretty cool but....certainly not a bike...... Apparently, it's going to be horrendously expensive (as usual for an EV) and I somehow doubt the claims made about mileage and speed. Different, yes, but horrible, not really.
Mind you, I've been to several bike rallies and met old friends who'd switched to Spyders and were full of praise for them. Next year they were back on 2 wheels again.

I wish technology was where it needs to be with electric. The down fall with all electric has been and still is the battery. Now I know many now have power and can hold a charge to give some distance and survival of the batteries are getting better However!! I still feel a battery can add such an expense in upkeep that it does not give great financial gain in the long run. I know Litium does better but the chemicals in these things remind me about cheap clean nuclear energy. No one wants to be near a dump site and in mass production of batteries for cars and bikes it will be the same. I understand there are companies who reclaim materials but more than you believe un-usable stuff is dumped. Now I do not like pollution from oil but dump lithium everywhere and we will be paying 10.00 a bottle for water.
I wish more investment was put into making cars and bikes more designed for perfomance than for appearance. If you want to get the most out of it cut electrical use other than engine, make it as resistance free and make it safe enough to allow you to survive. You do not need a 100 watt stereo with heated electic seats etc etc.

However that vehicle looked as good as any other electrical out there.To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.

nuclear energy has been vilified by fossil fuel interests.
Everything else is worse.
Each ton of coal or oil or natural gas that gets burned sucks the oxygen out of 16 tons of air. Never mind all the filth that goes up the chimneys and fly ash by the cubic mile.
Clean coal? The ultimate oxymoron.
Hydro-electric? There's square miles of good farm land under the lakes behind those dams. Also bio-pollution from all the rotting vegetation that was drowned instead of cleared.
Windmills? Only work when the wind blows.
Solar? Only works when it's light.
OK, the tidal power things might work but how far are you from the ocean?
Radwaste is no problem. I did spent fuel design studies 30 years back. The way that stuff will be stored makes the security at Fort Knox look like grandpa minding the kids lemonade stand.Fred Hill, S'toon
