Moving the airbox means elongating the holes in the frame that the airbox fits to. The carbs+airbox can then move 10mm forward but this leaves very little space between the carb top and the fuel tap, and IMO alters the appearance of the bike adversely and is a bit of a rubbishy way of doing things. Yes, the spacers are excellent, especially siince they take the required O ring seals. I had them made in the town where I live.
The 4 degree advance mod takes about 3 minutes and is a bolt on timing plate thing which replaces the OEM one. It looks identical to OEM except for the projecting metal tab which fires the coils.
