I've got 2 friends who have '08's. I just took a 2800 mile trip following one on his '08 through the mountains of Colo. (Colo. Ride report '09) and they are phenomenal handlers. His averaged over 40 mpg. -0- problems.

Thanks for the comments guys! It's not actually the swingarm pivot, Kawasaki came up with a system to counteract the usual effects of a shaft drive (much like BMW) "A virtually maintenance-free Tetra-Lever Shaft Drive ditches a traditional chain in favor of a driveline lash-reducing solution." I've got a fjr1300. Love the bike. Im sure your gonna fall in love with your new bike. I love the old bikes but when you get on anything late model its kinda hard to go back to the old ones. Handling and suspension are great. Enjoy and have fun. Also gotta love fuel injection.

I kept everything for now, I am going to get the Trophy back to it's former glory and then try to sell it. If no takers I will keep for a spare in case anybody wants to stop by and ride.
