Doing that would lose Hillary at least 2/3 to 3/4 of the New York Puerto Rican vote. Bill Clinton is politically savvy enough to know that Puerto Ricans are divided into 3 basic camps: pro statehood, pro status quo and pro independence. Any terrorists would likely be for independence which is the smallest of these three groups, quite small in fact. All pardoning those sorts of criminals would do would be to piss-off the bulk of Puerto Ricans who are divided almost exactly equally between the pro statehood and status quo factions. My wife told me this, she's from Puerto Rico and she and her whole family are for statehood.

The depression era president to whom Prometheus refers, who brought full employment to his nation, is not Franklin Roosevelt but Adolf Hitler who in addition to being a vegetarian, a teetotaler and a charismatic orator was also a lover of animals in a sort of PETA mode. He delighted in horrifying his dinner guests by showing footage of grisly executions but cried if an animal was injured. brrrr!

I'd rather have the bourbon too! Roosevelt gave that gift because Churchill, amongst his other sterling qualities, was a heavy drinker. We declared war on Japan, Larry, then Hitler declared war on us. He thought we would have our hands full with the Japanese and he also dismissed us as a "motley collection of Irish and Jews", not a real nation like Germany. One of the few instances where he actually honored a treaty.

Dunno what he meant about the airliner into the Pentagon, I don't think there's any doubt that an airliner hit the Pentagon.

I'm going for a ride now...don't think I'll come back to this thread again.

Being a lifelong amateur student of history I've read Speer's book a couple of times but that was when I was young. He was the only Nazi to plead guilty at the Nuremburg trial.

Though Hitler was sentimental about animals he wasn't at all squeamish. Hitler carried messages between units in WWI and earned the Iron Cross 2nd class twice IIRC. I'm sure he saw plenty of carnage and bodies in that role. It is documented that SS chief Heinrich Himmler got nauseous witnessing a mass execution by machine gun fire.

It's really amazing how this thread has morphed but it's still really entertaining! Ahnold content: Ahnold was born in Austria just like Hitler.

I'm not an aeronautical engineer(though I play one on TV), so this is not "expert" opinion.
As I was only twenty miles away from O'Hare when the DC10 crashed in '79, I went over for a look after work. Quite an extensive debris field. Big chunks o' plane everywhere.
Was first on the site when an A10 "Warthog" slammed into a hill at Ft. McCoy, WI., in '87. Smaller craft, but large chunks o' it still covered a wide area.
I use these two incidents as my visual reference.
As my 'puter is about as antiquated as I am, I can't view the links posted, but scrounged a few for clarity of thought. (I also couldn't locate a linked photo of the Pentagon's 16 foot hole(before the wall collapsed 45 minutes later), but what I have should suffice.

[IMG][/IMG] Rendition of approx. size of plane to building. Tail section about 4 stories high, etc. That's a lot o' plane. Keep in mind that this is a hardened building, reenforced walls, etc, and that this is an airframe covered with stressed aluminum sheeting.(hardly a penetrator)[IMG][/IMG]After the collapse. I see no debris field. I see no chunks of anything. The early released photos showed the "round hole" that, according to the "official story", the plane supposedly folded itself into an origami "square peg" and squeezed itself into. Funny, but I would have expected to see a "knife-slice" through the upper two stories where the tailfin slammed into the building. Actually, as these crafts are not armoured or built for this type of heavy duty work, I'd have expected to see the whole, snapped off tail section lying on the lawn, glistening in the morning sun. A large plane is not going to disappear like this. The impact of the wings against the walls would have slowed it's momentum considerably, and would have shortly stopped all forward movement. So where's the rear end of the plane?
This building has more outside security cameras than a small city, yet the only photos we are shown of the incoming plane and crash are obscured by the helipad control tower and other structures. There were hundreds of security camera tapes confiscated from the surrounding businesses. The Citco gas station across the street, in particular had an open view of the whole area. All tapes were returned, except 80.(Citco included) "Freedom of Information" requests are denied due to "National Security, yet the WTC vidies are shown ad nauseum. What did it, or didn't it show?
Ok... so there's an opposing viewpoint. Do your own research, form your own conclusion, believe what you wish.
(I would offer more info... but I'm busy tracking down the Lindbergh Baby)
Quit looking for the Lindbergh baby,it was found and identified by Lindberg himself.Bruno Hauptman was found and the money was located in the garage.Bruno was executed and the house keeper was sent back to Germany.Airplane's like meteor's, do not alway's leave a debris feild when striking earth but do leave a signature.I saw an F-100 Sabre loaded with napalm hit the deck and there was nothing left to speak of.The big crater in Winslow Arizona was struck by a meteor and there is nothing visible there either. Are you saying the Pentagon was struck by something other than an aircraft and the government is covering it up? How and why would they do that and what would they have to gain and how could they get away with it?

The EXACT questions that make up a good conspiracy question!!

I think maybe UFO's stole the missing plane (With Elvis as the pilot) and George Bush was commanded (Through secret FBI mind probes controlled by Hillary Clinton) to come up with some excuse. Now I think I will take my lead helmet (To protect me from the mind rays!) and go to my secret underground shelter and await the end! At least until later today anyway.. lol.

Do you fully realize how utterly difficult it is to amend the Constitution?

If...just if...the Senate can even get it through (which they won't...it takes a super majority) then 2/3 of the states (that's 33 states) must ratify...if I recall my high school government correctly.

It would be easier drain the Great Lakes.

The first question I ask a conspiracy theorist is simply this:

Even if it were all true, what are you going to do about it?

The answer is invariably the same...nothing.

All the bitching, complaining, ranting and raving does nothing but deter you from the things that really matter. Namely, your own (and those close to you's) prosperity. And in the end, they usually blame someone else for their lack of that, as well.

It's all da Gubament's fault!! Or da rich man, holding you down, or whatever. Anything to take your mind off your own problems.

My younger brother is a living example of a uber-conspiracy theorist. He's 34 and for the most part, flips burgers for a living. I've heard it all....UFO's, 9/11, giant radio arrays used for mind and weather control, the lines in the sky made by aircraft are really making target grids, and bush, Bush, BUSH!!!! You name it, I've heard it all. And not just him, but several of his loser friends, as well.

They've never in their life made any real effort to improve themselves or their situations, but yet I've heard them blame everyone from the Mexicans to the Government for why they have nothing. I have also heard them decry an oppressive government, and then in almost in the same breath, praise Hitler for his. The sheer idiocy of it all is beyond measure.

The last time my brother started in on me with all that ranting bull****, I couldn't take it anymore, and really let him have it. He wont speak to me now. I'm one of <heaven forbid> "Them" now.

I thought it was funny how difficult hearing the real truth was for him. I truly hope he wakes up from his delusions soon. Life dosen't get any easier, and he's nearly pissed the first half of his away already. It makes me sad.....for him, and his children.

At least no one's praising Hitler here Wes.

Don't worry too much about your brother's kids, they'll rebel against him and be totally conventional when they're grown.

Latest "conspiracy" around here is the "chemtrails" which are actually just contrails from airliners on the great circle course which all pass over Lake County on their way to and from the airports in the San Francisco Bay Area. "Why are these jets flying these crisscross paths over us. Must be the gubmint, secret experiments on us." "Right, I looked at the sky and in was like a grid and then the weather got really weird" "Yeah and there was this sticky stuff on my pine trees."
