Folks, I suggest that until otherwise informed we count this site as closed for 'normal' postings.

At some point a 'real' moderator (who can somehow prove that they are who they say they are) will let us know when normal service has been resumed.

Although I agree with Wildkat, that the entire Muslim community is not responsible for the actions of Islamic terrorists (they are NOT "militants" or "extremists"!) the worshippers of Allah who do not support the killing, maiming and wanton destruction of human life DO bear a serious responsibility that they have currently failed to address. True, peaceful followers of Allah need to publicly, unequivocally denounce the terrorist actions being perpetrated by the few. Why do they not actively and publicly assist in the identification of terrorist factions? Where are the Muslim leaders crying out against the beheading of Nick Berg? Atrocities are being committed in Allah's name. They need to prove to the world that this is not the true face of Islam, and they have not done so. Why?

Given some time and no need for a life, I could have done the same thing. But why.

What is also strange is the forum name created does not translate to english so is probably someone with typed in a bunch of english letters and created an arabic language of their own.

I agree with Marty, we simply press on. A group like this that spends so much of our time and ingenuity solving the problems and resurrecting 25 year old motorcycles will continue with our problem solving. If one of our beloved XS/XJ's breaks we simply go out to the shop and solve it's problem and push on.
I suggest we just do the same thing with this problem. Shrug our shoulders and go back to work. If some one in the group has the smarts to develop a fire wall or similar program to protect the site good. We just don't give up.
If anyone has a problem with their scooter simply post your problem and I'm sure the suggestions will start to fly in again.
Ignore the Ass H-le what ever his religion or twisted warped mind.

What a pain in the butt! I am doubtful this is the work of Islamic extremists - I think it is some punk hacker who thinks this is funny. I guess we just get on with life, and hopefully the site can be protected against such future attacks.

The forum software on my server logs IP addresses for logins. Just check the login and IP for the account that did that hack and trace it to the ISP. Then call up the ISP and get the users details.

That is unless he was smart enough to first hack into someone elses account to hide his steps.
