Just my two cents

This is my opinion... if anyone disagrees, that's fine... it's your right, just like my opinion is mine. I am open to honest discussions without name calling, but I have definite reasons for the way I think about these subjects.

I honestly don't feel that the hacking of this site is a religious attack. I believe it is somebody looking for some kind of power kick and since terror in the name of Islam is the most antagonistic approach these days, the hacker knows it will get the biggest rise out of the forum members. This has become an international forum and to say it is a direct attack on America, England and any other of the few allies America has left, is ridiculous.

I spent a year and a half learning Arabic from native Arab instructors from all over the Middle East. During that time I was able to overcome may of my stereotypical ideas of the Arab people. They are generally good, decent people trying to do the best for their families.... unfortunately, the people who have the power in these countries, often give the countries a bad rep.. Sounds kind of familiar...
Are there radicals in the name of Islam? Yes... just as there are radicals in the name of Christianity and any other religion. People will promote their own agendas in the name of any religion that has a great deal of followers to gain more recognition. Waco and the Oklahoma City bombings come to mind.

On a side note... The Crusades were nothing more than terrorism in the name of Christianity. However, they are history... and Christianity has come a long way to promote itself through peace and love rather than cold hard steel.

The most unfortunate thing about this person choosing to hack this site, IMHO, is that a lot of great information on XS's is now not available and that a site promoting help and understanding and finding a common ground for all nationalities has now been skewed by someone who, apparently, has not found the freedom that riding a motorcycle gives a person.

He certainly does not know that people who ride tend to value this freedom enough to plow through the minor disruptions.
To the hacker put as much time into the Koran as you do the computer books. You might learn something about a truly noble religion of which you know nothing. I know it better than you, and I am not a muslim!!
