    Sudco FCR 39's

If I could figure out how to post pictures I would show my latest creation. Haven't started it up yet so I have no idea how it's gonna work. I upgraded the XS1100 motor in the dwarf with a set of Sudco 39 mm FCR race carbs. The spacing is set up for the GS1100 pro stock motor so the carbs are further apart than the stock ones are. I used fuel filler hose as an adapter. Kind of a tunnel ram effect.

        Maybe this will work.[IMG][/IMG]
I clicked on the img link, the square box, after clicking on the img tab on your page. I then did a paste, Ctrl V, on the IMG box that shows up.

Wow! Great way to adapt the carbs with different spacing. How much further back do the carbs sit versus being in the stock intake boots? An inch, a couple inches, etc.? I see potential to adapt to different carburetors (other than the few already used) to the XS with the leeway your set up gives. Cool!

BTW, ZRX carbs have the same spacing as the XS11... http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35462

It actually moves the carbs out about 2-1/2 inches from the carb boots. Kind of like a mini tunnel ram. I'm running all the wiring now. I'm running Dyna coils with a Dyna rev limiter. Hopefully when I fire it up I won't need to advance the timing that will mean cutting an access panel in the firewall. Guess I should have thought about that beforehand. LoL
