If someone was very keen and needed some extra cash, he/she would come up with a replacement or repair for all these broken enrichment levers.

Aren't they stamped steel? I supposed one could be milled out of some aluminum but it wouldn't be that pretty.78 E - 2to1 exhaust, dynatek coils, special headlight [SOLD!]

functional
yep those are functional for sure but not all that aesthetically pleasing. Out of all the bikes and all the carbs out there with broken levers, someone could build a nice little cash cow. Just saying...mack

Yeah, what Phil and I did won't fly for a hard-core restoration but fits into the XS11 credo of 'cheapness' nicely....
But that's a rather intricate stamping in pretty heavy gauge steel and not something easily repoed. But the part that breaks off is simple and could be easily made, do that and weld it on, have the lever replated and you're good to go. But not cheaply....Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

Tip
When cleaning /rebuilding the carbs it's a good idea to coat the enrichment plungers and the ball stops with silicone grease.
It'll take the strain off of the lever.1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )

1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)
Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

If you have both pieces (if broken), they can easily be repair. The are just stamped steel. I just do a tidy little tig on them and re-enforce them along the back. Though, neither can be done pretty if it's chromed version.'81 XS1100 SH
