i'll post as much info as i know about this. I purchased an old Shaeffer beer clock at an auction some years back. I'd say it is circa 1960's. Lite and clock have worked well until just recent. The lite will turn on for about 10-15 minutes then go out. If it sits a little while and i turn on again, it will repeat the action. The clock will stay working only the lite goes out. The clock is illuminated by an 8 inch flourescent tube. There is no starter in the clock, so we figured it has to be the transformer.
Here is the info stamped on the transformer:
Robertson Transformer co.
6W .145amps 120v
It measures about 1.5x1.5 inches.
My mother has really grown fond of this old clock as it doubles for a nite lite.
I'd really hate to toss a nice old piece of beeriana just cause i can't find a transformer. [yes, the local electronic/electric shops have been searched].
So all that said, does anyone have one laying around or perhaps a reasonable facsimile or a lead to get one??
thanks,
redbone
