I've just got the lowly 1200. Basically an FJ engine with a few mods.
I bet you could build one from ebay items as i did.

but since theres a similar bike in the states already...the good news is its already here... its the FJR1300 and it looks like this: its not exactly the same and has some def different looks to it, but it is close...

I beg to differ the only thing the FJR and the XJR share is the engine which in the XJR has been slightly detuned . The FJR as nice as it is just doesnt push my buttons like the XJR...Its just a little thing...like the lack of plastic body work thats all

No mate, the FJR is a totally different engine. Liquid cooled for a start. The XJR is air/oil cooled and basically a bored out FJ1100.

Ok thanks for the education...so theres even less in common between the FJR and the XJR. BTW nice work on yours!
