Yea, I looked at the RTV when they had no rubber sheet. I thought I could perhaps smear some on some plywood cut-outs, if it came to that (don't really have wood working tools - am an electrical & mechanical guy). Last time on the GL I used some conduit body gasket cut to size and reinstalled the petcock over top. I will most likely go that way again for the petcocks. for the fuel gauge I got lucky and there was a thread on nut for it & a frozen juice lid fit perfect. But I had the rubber in my head for the XS fuel gauge port and was probably getting a little monomaniacal
