I have the drawings and instructions for a reversing gear box that can be mounted behind the XS11 trans output shaft, but I have it stored in MY DOCUMENTS, and do not know how to forward it to the forum, only email. If Slomo or anyone else wants it, I will be happy to it email to them, but I need an e-address to send it to, unless someone can tell me how to transfer it to this forum.

Just print it using the Microsoft Document Image Writer (built in on all Windows machines), and that will create an image file that you can save, then upload to Photobucket.

You know, a trike sounds like a fun build. I have been neglecting my XS for something close to a year as I have picked up a 2000 VS1400 Suzuki that I could put the key in and ride, my XS needed little nagging things ( and still does). I might be inclined to build it into a trike for a couple reasons.
1. no one else on my block has an XS11, much less one that's been triked
2. I was in the process of turning mine into a bit of a touring rig, frame
mounted fairing and such, so I am not really looking to throw it through the
twisties.
3. I want to ride year round, I figure I'm a lot less likely to end up on my ass
with three points of contact with the road.
anyway, I am very much in the thinking stages, but it might be a fun, long term project, something I can involve my older son in, he's just 20, so he likes doing stupid stuff for no real reason other than to see if it can be done. have a nice day and ride safe
