        number 1 stands out but...

What about a lighter background to make the bike pop better?(more contrast between background and dark blue bike) I like the maroon, but it really makes it harder to see text and bike - I like the gold lettering - looks like something Yamaha would do.
Very good work guys and I will buy no matter what turns out.

I like colors on hte first one too

But I agree the blues are running together... The bike looks more defined on the red background. Can you darken the blue tank?

                  Paint Job

I like the first one but put a different color on the tank and side cover. Maybe the Moroon color that came on the 80SG.
But I will take one no matter what color. Great job on the patches.

I think patch 1 lettering/background color with a maroon or black bike would really look great.

                      Dark colors

The 3rd patch appeals to me. Not too loud looking.

                        Color Bike came in

I like the silver lettering, only because The Cruise Missle is silver. I think the tank and side covers need to be one of the colors available that year. JMHO
                        Great job on the design.

That was my thought too. It wouldn't look like a headlight sewn onto a black jacket. The blues are nice (#1 in particular), but not something I would want on my clothing/bike.

I do think it's kinda strange to have a 30th anniversary patch ('80-'10) when they have been around since '79...

I also like the darker background. But whatever is decided you can count me in for at least four. Thanks again for the well-placed efforts!

                              Colors!

                              Hey Folks,

Okay, when I got the photo graphic, the tank/side badges looked like a dark blue/black color. I didn't check the MISC forum model color thread to see what colors were available? I thought there was a blue black, but apparently only a black, or Black-Red( Darker Maroon??) as well as RUBY RED for the 80SG!?

I had an 81SH that was CARDINAL RED, and apparently the blue/black came out in 81 as well!

The BLACK color would be difficult to have it stand out from the FRAME and seat. I don't know what the Black-Red looks like, I've seen the Ruby Red.

So....to keep it TRUE to the YEAR/MODEL color scheme, looks like it should be changed to either Ruby Red or Black-Red...but making it black would be hard to get it to show up without having to put a similar GREY border around it, similar to the seat! And then it looks too DRAB IMHO!?

As for the lettering, we/I used the GOLD for the 78E patch for several reasons, it accented the gold/yellow piping that was in the Macho Maroon paint scheme, GOLD for PRESTIGE being the FIRST 1100 patch, etc.!

However, 25 years anniversary is really SILVER, that combined with the black I think would look very good. Remember, EVERYTHING that is LIGHT GREY would actually be METALLIC SILVER thread to simulate polished aluminum and chrome, and that would make the lettering pop, especially against a moderate dark colored background...or with a black border/edge to the lettering. This could possibly mean more WORK for Ozz with possible color changes!?

I'll play with the BIKE graphic alone to see how it could look in BLACK. Could someone post what the Black-Red color looks like...or is it like the Blue-Black...just BLACK with metalflake hints of red in it????
