        I have
1980 xs1100G not perfect. Runs good had 1980. Before. But didn't have the website like this to keep me interested in fixing her up. This bike now I replaced the drag. Bars withmore original style of handle bars, installed engine guard aNd hwy pegs also luggage rack anD sissy bar. Replaced rear fender and turn signals it was painted flat black.did a little sanding and rattle. Canned it green. Not sure if I like the color or not I also need to do a better job next time but was in a hurry to ride. Might try white next time. It is a work in progress hard to find the timem

          1980 XS1100G Standard

Bought this couple weeks ago. Was second owner. Has only 8300 miles on it. Garage kept, no rust. Some minor engine clear coat (?) tarnish. Is 100% stock with the exception of rear luggage rack with pass back rest, engine guards with freeway pegs, small 'Spitfire' mini windshield. Two tone Silver.
Work performed by previous owner: New Gel battery, rear tire, carb overhaul, L-O-F, Valve Adj, fork seals repl, fluids (brake, front forks, middle and rear diff ) all repl. Engine tune. Purrs like a kitten and pulls like a freight train! Can't wait to go riding with my friends (if this stupid weather ever clears up)!
As soon as I get this 'how to post a picture' figured out, I'll show it off

            1980 sg

Got a great 1980 SG a couple years back, will turn 15,000 orig. miles on the way home from work today. Daily rider is a 2001 ZRX 1200, just took the XS to stretch her legs a little bit on the interstate. K&N airlfilter is only mod, other than tuning carbs for higher elevation, but retained stock jets, etc. Just some airscrew adjusting is all it took to run great!

            ZRX1200

BTW, ZRX carbs have the same spacing as the XS11... http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35462

Just bought a 81 XS11 SH w/13k on her. Has Airpods and newer exhaust, new brakes all around. This if my first bike ever and I love it. Have only been riding for about a week, but getting better all the time. I could use any info anyone has. A few friends thought I was crazy for buying her, but I got her for 900 and she is in very good condition.
I was with that which others did not want to be, I went to where others feared to go, and did what others failed to do. I have seen the face of terror, felt the stinging cold of fear, And enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love. I have cried pain and hope, But most of all I have lived times others would say were best forgotten. At least some day I'll be able to say, That I was proud what I was, A Soldier."

Right now I have a G tore down to the frame
engine on the work bench, new cam chain installed
Head off, need to check the valves
Might get it done by the end of this year
                    ______________

Here's a pic of my first XS (G)
Other than the windshield, was stock and very good condition.
When I sold it (very cheep to a guy with a sob story) all it needed was a seat cover. Month later I found out he sold it for twice what I sold it to him for.
