first, kudos on your endeavor and hopefully the list's carb wizards can help you get yours sorted out.
But here am I wishing there was only one carb on my XS11 so I didn't have to try balancing four of the bastards.
Takes all sorts, eh?

If I were going to run 70's BS34's on something with a fuel pump, I would definitely upgrade the float valves to Viton tipped ones. If you do a search for Viton, you will find the thread I wrote about what part to order for the better float valves.'81 XS1100 SH

The fuel system has a "T" after the regulator. Strait through goes back to the tank, and the leg on the "T" goes to the carb inlet. We put two on the Datsun, one for each carb. As you have a single inlet, you should only need one.
Do NOT forget about the brace between the carbs. I would get an aluminum angle at ACE HARDWARE and fit it as a single brace across the bottom. If it's NOT a single brace, the carbs WILL move and cause running problems. We had that with just two carbs!
BTW, those MAY be off a KZ from looking at them.Ray Matteis

good deal. i'll T in after the reg. with one 1 to the single inlet and the other to the fuel return.
yeah, i have the pairs braced separately but have another single brace underneath bracing 2&3 together.
81xsproject, the Z1 site showed the float needle assemblies as being temp. out of stock but i did find this as well as a 2010 Sudco price list in .xls format with them at 8.82ea. They're Keyster parts made in japan. The .pdf catalog shows an image resembling the one with the black seal and flat screen. is that the right one?
this is the image from the Sudco catalog:

Flat stock, like you are using, WILL twist and bend. Angle is a much STIFFER shape, and will NOT bend or twist as easily. I know this from experience on the Datsun.....

well, after unplugging the 2 ports and pulling the upper hoses from between the carbs, she fires right up and idles with no fuel pouring out of the front of the carbs. still looks like too much fuel as i'm getting seepage on some of the hoses. i'll be picking up the low pressure fpr today and T-ing in a return fuel.

alright, ran it with the above fuel routing and the motor did not like it one bit. it ran better unregulated with just the single fuel feed.
i'll just put it back to the way it was but keep the regulator in place and go from there.
i'm going to have to fab up that angle for all 4 DiverRay. 3 & 4 popped off when trying out the new fuel routing and had a back fire.

i'm just going to put it back to the way it was but with the regulator in place. it should be closer to kosher.

I'll try and use the keyboard to show you the way to run the fuel lines.
Pump ,,,,,,,, P.R.,,,,,,,,,,Carbs ,,,,return
0-----------0------------T--------|
blank space blank space bl|ank spac|e
blank space blank space blank blank | To tank
read between the blank spaces!!
If this stays together, you can see the return line is AFTER the "T" for the carbs. That is the ONLY way it will work properly.Ray Matteis

by the looks of your routing suggestion, i'll need to introduce a T into the fuel line between a pair of the carbs for the return. hmmm.
