Okay, Gary. I tried what you wrote and I tried to post a picture from my computer but it was too big. It looks like I need a thumbnail picture to work. I know my computer stores all the pictures I download from camera as thumbnails for reviewing but I can seem to add the thumbnail to the avatar.

Its getting late, so I'll try something later.

    Cheers,

I was able to size my picture smaller with the program that I view them with. See if you can edit your pictures.

I must be really tired. In my last post, the last sentence does not make sense.

I meant to say "...download fron MY camera..." and "... I can NOT add the picture..."

        I'm leaving now

          Thanks once again Gary.

I'll get my oldest daughter to try and downsize the picture on Monday. Teenagers are such a whiz at this computer stuff

I don't know JP, I am an architect and sometimes don't get a lot of praise at the end of a project. From my experience, at that point in the project, it is usually the interior designer who gets any or all of the recognition. Everyone can react to the colors and the finishes, but few respond to the quality of the space. I just stand aside with the construction team and reflect on all of the beautiful details. Sorry for the rambling on.

                    new forum

                    JP, Gary, BIll, et al...
The new forum looks great. I just cant find the posts about the BIG GUN thread to handle the deer situation. The BIG GUN would 'plow the road'
but wouldn't this have a detrimental effect on the performance of the XS?

                      My new avatar

For those of you asking, the "beastie" from Mozilla is now my avatar. Surprised I didn't get more bites on my FreeBSD posting to XS11. Gotta get rid of my "newbie" status. ;-)

                        newbie to da newforum

okay...so Im a newbie to da new forum. I do like the new forum....lotsa info, lotsa input from others. The 'Old Site" was a tremendous help to me while I was trying to fix my bike....lotta good info that wasn't mentioned in the Clymer manual...especially about the coils. Bike is running purdy good now. Am building a new saddle...pan & all...for me & the missus. The original is just waaaayyyyy too uncomfortble on us on trips further than 50 miles. lol. okay....3 posts down....2 to go.

I guess I'll chime in here to get my Newbie title gone. I'm on several boards that have gone over to this format, it is so much better to deal with that an email list by far!

Great work on the new site, hopefully I'll lurk around a little more. Maybe even pick up a running 78 this time around so I don't have to rebuild one again.

Wait, don't you always have to rebuild them?......

                              Erric Z.
