  • Gentle reminder to member-payment outstanding-andreas

Good morning, a rare first post from me to a fellow member in ontario who ordered a pair of 79special sidecovers and some brake parts. You were not comfortable in sending me money prior to recieving your parts. So I sent you the parts you wanted prior to payment. You have my parts, I have yet to recieve your payment of $130.00 Cdn. Most likely lost in the christmas mail,or just forgot to mail it, better send me an private message soon. I am not feeling comfortable now. thanx andreas

just a little food for thought....i sent a small package [padded envelope] to canada back in march. i too thought something was wrong or i got clipped, but, the recieving end did contact me when it arrived....57 days later.
The u.s and /or canada does hold up SOME packages going across the border.
i emphasize SOME only because this is what i was told by the U.s postal service. Of course if there is a tracking number [which i did not have] then somebody already knows where that package is.
by the same token, i ordered a hard to find fuse from canada 3 wks ago and it showed up in a matter of 4 days.
like myself, i would think the person on the recieving end would have contacted andreas wondering if the pakage was sent.
          hope it all works out.

Yes, in my experience shipping to/from Canada is a crap shoot. I have had stuff show up long before expected and had stuff show up long after I was expecting it, and the postmark showed it was sent when I had been told it was in each case. Not sure what causes them to hold up some items, but frankly I'm not sure why some have a problem with paying before they get the item. I certainly don't know of anywhere else you can get your goods before you pay for them (well maybe except for an auto dealer (financing you know)).

              Hi Cy,
cross-border shipping can be a pain but not in this case.
Andreas ships his Canadian destination packages from inside Canada.
So, Mr '79 sidecovers, pay up, you cheapskate!

I second what Fredintoon stated - I have ordered quite a few items from him and the payment is sent to a Canadian Address & also his packages are shipped from the Canadian address. With regards to the ripoff Man alive "how do some people sleep at night" - Dan

                    Tramps And Thieves

It's a damn shame when people who are not honest takes advantage of those who are.

I have purchased over half a dozen parts from Andreas during the last three years and not once was I ever disappointed with the parts he sent me.

Whoever the person is that ordered these parts should resolve this problem in a satisfactory manner because technically not to do so would be considered stealing and if he/she doesn't, the powers that be at Channel Eleven should ban him/her from this medium because there should be zero tolerance for unscrupulent behavior among friends.

What if unscrupulent behavior is the common thread between you and your friends?? Yeah, you hoodlums know who I'm talkin' about! lol.

I hope you get the situation handled to YOUR satisfaction Andreas. Thanks for all your help in here. But $130 Canadian... isn't that like 4 bucks or something?

Just kidding guys... not like our dollar is much better right now.
