Another thing to add... I seem to remember Ivan stating that he is the only provider in his household and trying to provide for SIX kids. Now he is going to be dependant on (Hopefully the kid was insured.. but even likely the policy limits won't cover this..) an insurance company NOT being a typical insurance copmpany...

God dang that sucks! Luckily he's still with us 50mph whether he's moving or not is CRAZY. And i'm sure it did alot of damage. I just hope and pray that he makes a complete and speedy recovery. Hopefully this don't deter him from riding anymore. I know it would make me think twice about it. Anyways, tell him i said good luck and god willing a speedy recovery!
Yes it's a damn nice bike, yes it's in REALLY good condition, yes it would be a shame to chop it, BUT damn how cool would it look with ape hangers?

I've talked with a couple people and have these thoughts to kick around and wanted some opinions.

                            1.Pass a hat around...

                            2. Everybody show up at his place and finish the things at their house they've been working on.. maybe with some help/donations from local businesses. Ivan and his wife do without so the kids don't have to.. as attested by his admission that his "Bedroom walls" are of cardboard at the present time.

                            3. A benefit ride.. maybe with some help from the Downed Biker Association. I don't know how they are if you aren't a current member, but even some advertising would help get the word out from the immediate area.

                            4. ??? Suggestions? Opinions?

Here is what I have learned so far. Ivan was westbound when he passed this car, the car sped up and ivan had to honk it on to get past him. the driver told the sheriff that he was unfamiliar with the car, his sis's car, and was looking down and did not see ivan slow down to make the turn. oooooooooooooooookk

ivan is in the Wesley Medical Center, 550 north hillside, wichita ks. building 7, room 212. when i called this morning they told me that visiting was family only in one hour increments. i have a call into his wife and as soon as i hear from her, i will post any additional information. my thought is to go down to wichita and misrepresent myself as his long lost brother.....................

I'm 100% on all of these, I could have sworn he said he has 8 kids not 6 but I could be wrong. Does anyone know if he ever was in the military? If so that opens up a few more organizations we can check into. Regardless I'm going to check around on base Monday and see what sources and options I can find there. If anyone knows for sure how many kids he has and if he's previous military please let me know asap.
