Just a brief intro from a new member, although I was a member for a short time some years ago (around the time TKat starting building his fork braces, are these still available by the way?)
I'm 48 years old and live in the South Island on New Zealand and have owned a 1980SG for the last ten years. I bought it as a basket case and rebuilt it with what i could find at the time. It's all original but some things are showing thier age, like me. Two weekends ago I was returning home from a Rally and had successfully travelled another 500 trouble free kilometres when the unthinkable happened. I slid on some greasy road at an intersection and the bike fell over on me, breaking my left leg. (and seriously denting my pride). I was 10 kilometres from home and travelling at about 40 Kilometres an hour. 30 year veterens of the road don't make these kind of mistakes. As a result I'm now looking for a left hand front footpeg, a left front blinker, a round rev counter, a complete new headlight and both mounting brackets.
First real ride of the season for me, and the last.
