Great, now I have to go looking for that video too.
I remembered a story my dad told me durring Railfair 99 at the Rail Museum in Sac.
He said he was headed down the central valley here about 1960 in his 1950 Chevy coupe when the thing started to rumble and it got louder and louder and he said he was looking at the guages and trying to figure out "What the hell was going on". He said he'd just about started to slow down when one of the big cab forwards went rumbling past on the line that ran along side the 99 freeway. Said it "startled the hell out of me".
I think I told you about his office in Stockton next to the tracks.
I wonder now if he didn't just ask for that office....
