That is not that good. We are very isolated here on the North Coast and we are at 2.79. I wish I could be more happy about it, but the fact is that prices are down because demand is down because the economy is down. I would rather be paying the high prices and not worry that my company might have to lay me off

Way out here on the east coast, I filled up with 12 gallons for only $25.00 instead of $45.00, it's $2.05 at my local volume discount store similar to Sam's!

I think it's a variety of factors, the slouching economy, less driving, less demand, but also perhaps less of the fuel speculators I heard about on the O'Reily report not being able to drive up the prices of crude as well?? Of course OPEC has cut BACK their production to try to bring the prices back up! You'd think they would open their eyes and realize what they were doing to the WORLD with their exhorbitant prices!

            Gas prices

The cost in central Wisconsin is $2.299. This is a ploy to reduce the cost of living increaswe in social security. Last year the rise in medicare almost wiped out the C.O.L.A. This year it will far pass it.

It finally got under $2 a gallon here.. .$1.97. I think it's even less in Oklahoma City. I can finally fill up the bike for less than $10 again. I'm pretty leery though and not expecting it to last. I hope everybody is gun shy for a long time and keeps the usage low.. keeping the price and demand low. I'm afraid everyone will see the prices and break out the SUV's and Hummers again.

                      I've already seen it

For a while the SUVs' and lead foots had backed off...but now its seems they're back and it's business as usual...keep an eye on your rearvw mirrors...the soccer moms on the cell phone with 3 screaming kids in backseat all the while barreling down the hwy in their Hummers' oblivious to everything else....
BTW I just went out tonight and the price of a gal/reg has dropped .06 cents since this a.m.!Its now @ $2.19

                          I had 1.97 here today.

I am betting the gas prices will go up or down based on whether OPEC gets the man they want in the White House. Next week will tell.
