Up here in Alberta the best price I have come across lately is $3.55 for a US gallon ( I did the conversion). That is quite a drop from what it was which was about $4.92 per US gallon..2-79 XS1100 SF

Western Colorado, at City Market (some stores also have gas pumps) it was $2.079 on Sunday, November 2 for 85 octane.
A few weeks ago SWMBO and I went from Colorado to the mid-west (Illinois and Wisconsin) and came back through N. Dakota. Fuel when we left Colorado was $3.479 for 85 octane regular unleaded. In the 8 days we were gone, we found fuel for as low as $2.719 in Grand Fork, N. Dakota, was $3.319 around Minneaoplis, Minnesota.
Now gas is $1.41 per gallon cheaper than when we left. The low prices won't last, but I am going to fill up every vehicle I have (6) plus my extra gas cans while the prices are down.
'76 International Scout II (19 gallons)
'82 Yamaha XJ 1100J (5 gallons)
'92 Saturn SL2 (10 gallons)
'96 Jeep Grand Cherokee (20 gallons)
'01 Honda Accord (15 gallons)
'05 Yamaha RX-1 snowmobile (10 gallons)
Not the collection that some of you have, but each of the above is titled, licensed, and insured and can be run legally on the appropriate road or trail. Collectively they represent about 80 gallons of gas to fill up the entire collection. Don't think I've ever had them all full at the same time!Jerry Fields

Ottawa ,Ontario ,Canada
I am near Ottawa . I believe the suggested gas for our bikes is the lower octane fuel with no ethanol if possible . I read a really good article on here somewhere about it . We have 87 octane, 89, 91, 92, and 94 . All seem to work well with no definate increase in fuel mileage form any one type . The higher octanes are usually boosted with up to 10% ethanol . Some of the lower ones are too . Sometimes we have to go to a higher octane to get away from ethanol . Shell V-power is one . I believe our bikes are designed to run on the lower octane gas and perform well on it .XJ1100K
