I live in Arizona, so I did not realize the year had ended. I bought my bike in may of 2001. Since then I have put on about 23,000 miles. I've taken one long trip (about 5500 miles) up the west coast (California, Oregan, Washington), Then over to sturgis before heading home to Arizona. I've gone over to California a couple of times, Plus a few trips up into the white montains during the summer. The rest of the miles have been on short day trips and my dailey commute to work.

I guess I'm hooked, I love the bike.

      Mile eater

Over here in Aussie, summer's yet to begin. I bought my '79 Special in February this year and have clocked 26000 Kms so far so it should be a pretty good total by the time the year has ended

I only rode about 10,000 miles this year normally I'd do around 17,000 around Ireland (not bad for a country with about only350-400miles between it's two furthest points. But I must admit we don't get the snowfall fer as long or most times not as heavy, we make up for that with lots of rain and wind. Also any of you who have been to the Republic of Ireland will know how bumpy, twisty and full of potholes roads can really be, that's why my fork-seals are nearly always busted or just about to bust.

Pretty good year this year. Put 3,600 on the XS1100G and 3,000 on the BMW. Now that's cool more on the XS than on the Beemer. I put the hard bags on the XS for the first time in 10 years and that is why I used it more.

This is my second full year back on two wheels after a 18 year break,,,,managed 13K so far this year,on my 81 Special,, longest ride was 1K to the N.C. rally and back,,a few day rides all round Virginia and my daily comute ,,,never drive a car anymore,,,,,hooked firmly,,,,unfortunatly I am off the road right now sorting out some Carb problems that surfaced in N.C. but hopefully will be back on the road by next week. Its been a great year,, rode with some great folks,, and have seen some beautiful countryside. What I was thinkin for 18 years is hard to fathom right now,,,,but time does roll on by,,,. Back in the saddle to stay.
            Later folks.

6k+ on the XS, about the same on the '83 GL1100, about 600 on the '79 GL1000 and as of Thursday I am done for the season. Friday starts my "Santa season", long days, 7 days a week, a long commute,1 1/2 hours each way and short sunlight. I will miss it but come January it's a new riding year. I was out on the road all but 1 week since the start of 2002. A good riding season.

              Happy holidays, Ho, ho, ho.........

                My Mileage did vary

I've put a little over 2K on the bike this year (so far). Mostly putting around. One long trip (see ride report). I'm gonna break down and buy a clear shield so I can commute now that the time has changed.

                              Greetings and Happy New Year!
I was only able to take the XS out one time during the month of December. Including yesterday's mileage, I rode 3,439 miles on my XS in 2002. My New Year's Resolution: Ride the bike to work more often and to ride twice as much this year!

Rarely have to park the bike over the winter here. An occasional snow, that's gone usually within a few days.
Beautiful upper 70's today. Nice change from the hellish weather we had a couple of months ago.
                                I'll keep the miles clicking.
