Boy I sure wish it would get cold here in South Dakota. Yesterday started out at 17, By supper it was down to about 4. Last night got down to -10. Can't forget about the wind chill. The cold CAN burn. Glad MIYAMI's down right now.

Yea, I here ya. Big chill HAS arrived! Air temp @ 14*, wind chill @ -4* & going down for next couple days! Hate those Alberta Clippers! Spent the day yest. working on the Black Lemon (S-10 Blazer) in the garage with the wood stove goin full tilt. It was hard not to look at 'er just sittin there waiting.......Couldn't stand it. Had to fire her up.............OOOOH That felt and sounded GOOD! Won't be long ( I hope) before climate is a little more suitable. Till then try to stay busy with inside projects to get through the winter blues......

Might say the same thing here in Texas this summer...just that it would have wrapped around to that...

John, its a heatwave for us, 2 weeks ago we were seeing temps in the -20's. 50 degrees of difference makes us start looking for the nearest open pond cuz were sweatin. hehe.

Where did you live before movin to D.FW?

I grew up in Maine, about 100 miles north of where xswilly is. I left there in 77 for the Navy, then spent two years 82-84 after my discharge. I was in Chicago from 84-88. Been in D/FW since 89

                              a few years ago
we had a guy working with us, that came from houston
it was his first winter in maine.
wow did he get the treatment
first he claimed that he wouldn't need a big heavy jacket.
how cold can it really get right.

well about late november he was jacket shopping

then it snowed, and snowed some more, till he was tired of shoveling, then it snowed again, he he

we took him out ice fishing, he couldn't believe that you can drive on frozen water.
we drilled a hole 2 feet deep and didn't hit water, that blew his mind.
we had alot of fun with him

i guess you guys have problems with water down there in texas
we were canoeing in the saco river up in brownfield.
i took a glass and dipped it into the water and drank it in front of him, he was totally amazed by this

actually he was a city boy, so it was easy to have fun with him
