Thanks! tire is absolutely straight behind the front wheel (and no, the front wheel is not offset).
Here a pic of the start of the project. Notice the distance between U-joint and shaft in swingarm..
Because of the different swingarm construction the left frame pivot point has been deleted as such and the frame has been modified to accept the new axle pivot point. A 3cm wide spacer was needed to get the middle drive gear inline with the shaft.
Deleted stock swingarm pivot point ... now houses the speedo drive sensor..
Two longer middle drive gear shafts... one lengthened by welding, one completely new one-off. Both 3cm longer than stock.

With homemade taller gearing it has run over 300kph, long time ago. Stock gearing did 235 kph. Now I guess with the FJR parts it will do 265 kph.
Aaaa.... uummmm... yep 300 kph on an XS11 might just about be fast enough Hells teeth, you'd need to be tucked in low, 300kph on a naked bike, you wouldn't want to have long legs and arms...
HOLY %&$#@!!! Awesome!!! Math, you are a Master!!! Simply having come up with the concept, let alone to realize it makes you somone special in our ranks. Can we automatically elevate Math to Guru status?

Well...........since 1982. Then I bought it new and after 1500 km of running in I bolted on the kit from American Turbo Pak. The bike has been altered a number of times since. You can see its history at www.xs1100.com under "projecten"
In total it has seen approx. 200.000 km now and a new change is on its way as I think the alternator and seat are too big and the Electromotive is good but as you call it: a dinosaur.
