  • Hey Josh,

Aside from the Unmatched mirrors, it doesn't look like it deserves that B* title!! Looks pretty good for it's age really! But, thanks for the photos, and looking forward to seeing what you do to it!

    • The B* title comes from how it's running for now. But once it is smoother, I think the power deserves the title! I'll admit I stole it from James Dean's Spider a bit.

        • Frankenstein

Since my bike is made of at least two other XS1100s I decided Frankenstein would be appropriate.

I still don't know, was he worth $600?

                  • It really is alive! The only reason I spent the $600 was because it started idled and drove kinda good. I have added MAC 4into1 and had the seat recovered in black with no seams. I'm gonna add a tkat brace, and have a guy at church (owns Whitworx metal finishing) polish it for me. I'm not sure what to do with the tail section. I have no grab bar and no tail cowling.

                    • What model is that seat from, an 80-81 Special? I have a couple of tail cowls, but I don't know if they'll fit on that application. You may have to 'sew' it on as well.

I think it's an 81 special. That was the parts bike the guy said he had used as an organ donor.

The guy who redid the seat said he bent the seat pan back down in the rear. I'll take some more pictures of the refurb and start a thread in the xs discuss area on friday.
