Well, there is a point. If say, someones parent who was helping out with rent or something because one was out of work or something, and one had a bike that was not having any money spent on it, but was seen by others (not the wife, but others) as unnecessary, but they didn't know what they were worth, but insisted that you had to try and sell it, I know *I* would put an unrealistic price on it. I know what someone suggested that I needed to at least TRY to sell my Camaro, I put it on craigslist for about 60% more than what I figured it is really worth, but what it would take putting in my pocket to get me to give it up
. It just might be that this is the case here. Someone told him he needed to try and sell it, so he put it out there is an unrealistic price that it would never sell for, and if it did, it was for an amount that he could grudgingly let himself give it up for. Combine that with offering cell phone pictures if someone wants to see it, it feels like he's doing everything he can to NOT sell the bike. The description alone certainly didn't describe a $3500 bike, or even describe it like he even THOUGHT it was a $3500 bike.
