I have a new xs1100 head gasket. Anyone can tell me whether or not I could use that head gasket and cut the portion for the YICS ports out of hi-temp gasket material?Comment

You wouldn't want to leave a real YICS tool in there as the rubber isolator bits would melt and whole thing would fall out. That would be quite a waste of money. You can leave the YICS eliminator device which is basically just a solid rod.Ken TalbotComment

Look for some post by TRBig, he has an XJ and found a different way to seal off those ports permanently. See post number nine in THIS thread. If the head is already off the bike, this seems like a fairly simple, effective way to eliminate the YICS.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
