Sounds good to me. I'll be comming in from Las Vegas on Hwy 58, and expect to arrive at the KOA on Thursday afternoon / early evening. Would enjoy meeting up for a ride and a meal Friday morning or early afternoon.

      • Not in CA this year

Hey everybody, it's me, Judson, the guy from Texas on the 79 F. I have been reading through the posts and wishing I was there. I had such a good time last year meeting and riding with you, I'm just sorry I won't be there this year. My bike is safely stored there in LA, but alas, I am not there to ride it. I hope you have a great trip, and please post some pics when you get back.

        Ride safe y'all!!

              • Vicki and I just made it home, safe and sound. Going was very slow on the 101 through Santa Barbara (stop and go, max speed 20 mph). Then some slowing in LA County through the west valley.

We had a great time this weekend. I think the weather was great, the company was greater. Can't wait for next year.

                • Made it safe and sound at 630 . Had a great time this year. Fyi reffi the 405 was clear and I hit the hov all the way thru till Capistrano @75per . But Santa Barbara to Ventura was nasty. There was no accidents although I had a near miss with a flying king size mattress on the 101 in tarzana holy moly.

                    • We arrived home safely, although the XS-XJ sign abandoned trailer somewhere along the way. Just as well, I'll do a better job on a new one.

It was great to see Ralph and Vicki, Tkat and Carolyn, Diver Ray, Special Ed and Gypsy, GarthXS, Jerry, Roo, and Scott, and thanks for all of the help. UI think we did great, except for the cluster fu-...I mean, group ride. Tkat had some good ideas about that which we'll put into place next year.

On a similar note, it was too bad that several past CaliRally folks couldn't make it. Having been in that spot last year, I understand, but hope to see the San Diego, Nevada, Tahoe, and Texas XSives next time.

Guess I need to update my sig line....

                      • Brant that mattress flew out of a pick up two lanes to the right and went left hit a car and flipped into my lane and bounced to the right and out of my way, I almoet had to switch lanes but instead I slowed down to 50 and went the left part of the lane.

                          • An hour late, a dollar short.

I was hoping to make it home in time to suggest that we post our ride reports on the ride report thread. Oh well the die is cast. I will post my ride report when I can find my #$@* muse! Artistic types are so unreliable. $@& hole! Give him a centimeter and he will take a millimeter. Anyway, manana!

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
                            I've been riding since 1959.

                              • Sounds like you all had fun!......Maybe a blessing in disguise not going, as I dropped my ST last Mon. and pulled lower back muscles getting that sled back upright. Not riding rite now, just doing some walking, cold pac, and some stretching so's I can ride and have good reaction if needed at the Colo.Rally. Slow reactions from a lower back pain on a scoot is a recipe for diasaster! Glad to to hear you all made it safely home!
