I have some pictures to share from the rally.

Here's what I brought, the XS1100 Venturer and a Honda V65 (sold during the rally after I got it good and dirty):

I think it was Brian that brought these two interesting chopper-ed XS650's:

It was raining most of the day Friday, but Kurt, Randy and I couldn't wait any longer, so we rode to the Fontana Village Gas station and back:

Later Friday, the weather seemed to break. A larger group decided to go to the Dragon. The weather let us know it was still in charge, and we got very wet:

The weather cooperated Saturday. It was mostly cloudy with no rain:

On Saturday, I rode with this group:

We rode the Cherohala Skyway, then up toward Maryville, TN for lunch at the Windy City Grill....before tackling the Dragon:

Unfortunately, Jack's beautiful XS650 decided to blow fuses instead of starting after lunch, so we both had a new experience to get back to the lodge:

On Sunday, we had a large group ride Robbinsville / Wayah Road / 28 South / 64 East/ 215 North / BRP South. Paul's trike had transmission trouble on 215, and some members stayed to help. I turned the wrong way onto the Parkway as the fog became thick and intermittent rain rain occurred. We rode all the way to 276 before we knew it was the wrong way. It was a bad mistake to make in thick fog and rain. I will have to kill these witnesses before the Navigationally Challenged Award is presented next year:

That's what I found in my pictures so far.
It was a great and memorable rally again this year!

PS: Struggling with picture resolution in these posts- sorry.

It is a 1972 Yamaha RD200. I worked hard trying to get those folks 2017-2019. I'm glad it's starting to pay off, if only a little.
