Brasstown Bald

it was great except for the huge piles of quicksand on the road going up to brass town bald.

For Those who could not make it...Well, the trip was not alltogether successful. Leader missed the well marked turnoff to Brasstown Bald and continued for miles down an open, clean, windy road, then gave signal for U-turn, and rode it again back to the mountain. Even with some help and additional signage, we never did find the Track Rock Archaeoligical Site. Did not find the mysterious Myan ruins. At least we did eat well at Rabbit town Cafe and Turners Corner. Also saw many english sports cars with the tops down.

Trip was so unseccessful that We might need to ride up there and look again

No Mayan Ruins but did find GIANT RABBIT

Great Ride! clocked 204 miles. We didn't find any Mayan Ruins but we did find this Giant Rabbit. Not likely built by the Mayan civilization, but entertaining anyway.....

Balmy sunset ride back into Atlanta was nice but traffic started getting heavy as all the bargain shoppers left the malls and hit the freeways.

Officially XSNorth. Planning is well underway and expect Wayne to start posting details soon.
For me it was overcast and freezing rain turned to rain so no snow to shovel...
in fact no reason to go outside at all.

Getting XS ready

I am planing on riding XS1100 on this trip, though I will be cutting it short.

my pan is to leave friday mornong, riding with JeffH, arriving at Kingston Friday afternoon, riding to Flagler beach (with stop at Saint Augustine). Sunday I will likely head for home.

Looking forward to riding with all who make it on that part of the trip.
