If all goes well here, and if poring down rain isn’t forecast, I’ll be there. Since I’ll be coming from Mayflower AR, which is north of Little Rock about 20 miles, and I don’t like to backtrack, I, and possibly my oldest boy on his sportster, will try to meet up with everyone in Mena, or there abouts, Saturday morning.

          Just one thing after another.....

Anyone that's coming to the rally have an extra stator for sale? XS-XJ, they all seem to be the same. The screws loosened up on mine and the rotor rubbed it. It is just barely charging... but at least it is charging some... but would rather have a backup plan. I can't get one off of ebay in time. Either way, I'll see you there.

Don't you have XJ crankcase? I believe the stators are slightly different. The part numbers re certainly different.

Sorry... you're right. I just looked at the numbers after the 10m (XJ) and A7 or whatever it was for the XS. The rest (81610-11-00) were the same.. I had just glanced at it this morning. I am going to check the voltage in the battery. then take it for a ride with the high beam on... then check it when I get back. If it's dropping, I may have to cancel. Will report back later.

Maybe just a little further and you can meet us for breakfast at Pam's cafe in Talihina at 0800 sat morning..

See you Sat. & remember ; if it is not raining when you leave, at least part of your trip will be dry. I would hate for you to miss a ride because it might rain somewhere else.

                      • Hmmmm... anybody see the forecast for Talimina and Mena AR?? Boys.... better bring that rain gear! As far as I'm concerned, let it come! I definately won't melt, and it would almost guarantee us the road to ourselves up there for the most part. Sunday is lookin' good though. I hope this doesn't spoil it for anyone, I've been looking forward to seeing some of these bikes together.

Hmmmm...that's strange..I vividly recall this post about 5 pages up thread:

I just would prefer not to ride in the rain. Cody... can you plan a weekend about 3 or 4 months from now that will have no rain for us? lol.
As for me I would much prefer cool rain over HEAT! I can't stand the heat. That's why I stay out of the KITCHEN!

Here's a map of precip probability for Saturday:

Not looking too bad yet but you beter bring rain gear just in case.
