You bet, Tod! Maximan and I are pumped for the trip. Got a little tire balancing to do, but we're ready to head for the hills. I too am eager to meet XSive people.

+2 MY dad and I chould be arriving at the State Park late Friday, possibly early Saturday. As soon as I get out for school, We are going to try to pack up and go. How full is the SP going to be? Should I call ahead, even if I am just tent camping?

        WHAT A WUSS!

Remind me not to let you tag a long when we ride in November.

I left Big Bend National park a couple years ago and rode 500 miles in sub-40 degree temperature straight into a 45 mph head wind. AHHH! What a refreshing blast of cool air after being in the desert .

I have also done my fair share of camping. BTW: I love the Big Bend area. Drove up into the volcano and stayed there for a while. I know what you mean about the " 500 miles in sub-40 degree temperature straight into a 45 mph head wind." That was cool. I have driven all over the US RVing, tent camping, and boating. THis is my first Rally/ Motorcycle trip.

Well Maximan... some of us actually open up the throttle on our bikes in the morning! After what seemed like 27 years at 105+ degree temps this summer... 60's feels aweful F^$*$* cool! Some of us aren't WUSSIES to the heat and actually have to get out and work in it!... lol. Besides.... who wants to see a 250 pound guy riding in a Tshirt with hard nipples!?!? That's what I thought.... I was just trying to save the public a nasty sight!!

500 miles in sub-40 degree temperature straight into a 45 mph head wind.
And I guarantee.... every inch of the trip WITH a coat!! LOL... see you guys soon.... (Hopefully. Posted in the forum about some electrical probs...)

Yep...some of us DO. Are you one of us?

That is exactly why I detest the heat so vehemently. I have to get out and work in that crap. Gimme 15 degrees over 115 anyday. I can wear carharts and stay warm. But at 100+ you can get butt naked and still be miserable.

                  CYA next week.

                  WUSS!

                    HEAD COUNT

Anybody considering this rally 22-24 of September post a hand up here. It would be interesting to see how many plan on coming really.

I know there are at least one ...maybe two guys riding down with me.

                    Thanks XSives.

                          +2

My brother in law and I are coming down. Me on the XJ and him on his VFR. He's an alright guy though.

We wanted to ride around there before I noticed the rally.....so we thought what the heck we'll do it!

I'm from KC and he's from Wichita, so I'll be getting there by way of Wichita. Hopefully we get there on Friday evening.
