Ok John here's what we're thinking...preliminary of course.
Maybe do a ride in the spring in the Arbuckles. Make it a OklaTeXSive Lite. I just love plagarism...(thanks Wayne )
I'm sure we'd have a decent turn out. If you show, I'll show and so will Dave. I wouldn't be surprised if Daniel shows. That guy rox. He doesn't need a reason to ride...just an excuse...
Then in the fall we'll organize OklaTeXSive MAX. That's when we'll make it a whole weekend and ride the Talimena Trail.
For the spring I'm booked Mid- May for the arrival of an angel. But the first and last weeks I'm open. The end of June I'm hooked. We are babysitting the angels. But the rest of June (1st through the 21st) should be open.
May rides are a little bit unpredictable since we live in "tornado alley"

Ok I think we have eight riders altogether including those posted here.
Maybe more will join...but that's certainly enough to do it. I'll get back here and post some dates for a spring ride in the Arbuckle mountains and then the "gongadee" at Talimena ridge in the fall.
Firehawk - Not sure the dates yet but if you need a place to stay over then ride down the next day you're welcome here.
Linda - Sounds like you might be more interested in the fall ride. That's cool but don't count out this "tentative" spring ride. From where you are you could ride down early on a Saturday morning with us and ride back to Edmond that night. For this spring ride that maybe what we do is make it a one day ...all day ride.
The fall ride will likely be a two or three day affair. There is sooooo much to see and do in the area around Talihena and Mena, AR.

I'll be there if possible. The TeXSive Lite is April 8th, and The TeXSive Hill Country Rally is tentatively October 13th-15th.
I have a Colorado rally in June, and I’m getting married the first of May. Other than that... im good.
Believe me, I'd love to go to a rally that someone else organizes, then i can just show up and ride.Wayne

I'm in for the Talimena ride, Spring or Fall.
My only problem is that I'm at the 'wrong' end of it!
