I made it down to Kat and John's... see evryone tomorrow.

I still don't understand why someone who's such a Jeff Gordon fan would make their name Dale??

          We're Home!

and I want to go BACK!!
What a GREAT group of people! Absolutely incredible time this weekend!
A MAJOR thanks to Mark for sacrificing his time and that of his kids to go and scope out the trail for us... after riding those roads... I know it must have been a VERY difficult thing for you to do... over and over again... Life is SO rough.. isn't it?

Thanks to Wayne for organizing these events!
It was really nice to put a real face to the name now...
It was a pleasure to meet all the new friends and a lot of fun getting together with old friends.
I hope all made/make it home safely... please let us know.

I did go farther on one tank than I ever have... Fuel light still hadn't come on (But probably would have any minute.)

Here is one pic though... Ain't they PURDY!!!!

My Dad got a call after everyone left from Mark's house. We packed up our stuff and left that night. I think it was around 15:50AM (can't rember) when we got home. It was nice and foggy all the way. I was so comfortable that I was ready for another trip. Thanks for the mp3 player Mark, IT WAS AWESOME. I have photos but the camera is in London with my Dad. I can't wait till we do this again. (hopefully before I am gone) Tod, did I not say that you would find a way to do a wheelie when we were on the way down? You and HippyDave broke my wrist. I don't have any control over it untill the gauge reads over 100mph. Thanks for the awesome time everyone.

Nice try Hobbyman. Anything in XS of 100mph was YOUR fault! Hippie Dave and I discussed this at great length and voted two against one that it was completely your fault that we got out of hand for a while there.

We were SOOOO lucky that we never saw any cops (Or that they didn't see us I guess) Just wondering what the fine would be for 135 in a 55 zone?? lol.

                    The trailblazers......

Glad y'all got home okay HobbyMan! Made for a REALLY long day in the saddle for your Dad... something tells me he probably enjoyed every minute of it though.

Hey guys ... we had a blast. Good to see you all.

I vote Dave Jackson for the finest example I have ever seen for a Standard. The bike is absolutely pristine! Great job DAVE!.

We are in Alpine Texas now headed for Big Bend tomorrow. We rode through 150 miles of rain today. On I-10 between Ozona and Ft. Stockton...we rode up on a huge mess. A flash flood had washed 5 or 6 cars/trucks off the instate into the ravine about 20 or 30 minutes before we got there... ...scary!

                        Again thanks.

                        Cody, Bohn and Miles.

                          Mouchyns are home

We got home about 2:15pm, with no incidents... Well, of course we won't talk about Dave's brake problem in Palastine...

We had a wonderful time with all of our XSive brothers and sisters! Thanks for the great weekend.

Hippie Dave and Keoke also called me and said that they made it home OK.

Sounds like we may be making a trip to Austin...

What a weekend. Thanks to all you guys for making it a record turnout for the TeXSive Rally.
I believe we had 16 XS/XJs and 22 bikes in all.
Nice to see old friends and make some great new ones.

A special thanks to Dale_1 for all his help in scouting, and with the banner. It was great to see it again. This was the second time that banner has been at a TeXSive rally, the first time was our first rally in fall of '02.

Well hope everyone is home safe or will be soon.
Hope to see you all again in the fall.

                            Peace.

                                MAXIMAN

You make me tremble... sitting at a table with you, Dave and John made me feel like I was in the presence of XS gods. SO much information to absorb that evening that I think my head was about to explode.

It was REALLY good meeting you face to face... You're alright for an Okie...

and fly that Kaw on down here...

Maybe we should have an any bike get together for XSives that DO have something other than XSes sitting in their garage...
