    uh-oh

Now I've made a Rallymaster mad. That can't be good...

Thanks again, Wayne for such an awesome weekend! SWMBO now understands why I like to ride with you folks!

8 bikes total from my count, and half were still XS/XJ11s!

    Gone but never Forgotten:
    1980 XS11SG - "Scorpion"

    Current:
    2006 Yamaha FJR1300A - "Orion"
    2007 Honda CBR600RR - "Twitch"

"Life is not a journey to the grave, with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body; but rather to skid on broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming:

    WOW - What a ride!

Thanks for the work you did Wayne to make another great ride. Still not sure how you got everyone in town to come out and wave to us as we rode thru.
        I still have "butterfly burggers".

FYI, Hondo to Austin, 2hrs, 5min with one gas stop, one stop to remove a bug from the inside of my helmet that musta had a rockwell hardness similar to stainless steel.

Daughter released from hospital Sunday afternoon. All looking well now.
        When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

It seems a natural progression...from THE power cruiser of the 70's and 80's to THE power cruiser of the 90's and 00's.

Okay, "One small step for (a) man..."; Nancy is Lynda; got it. Darn, I like "Nancy".

And we had 8 MC's, four Valks?

It's 4:20 in the morning and I'm going back to bed. I made the corrections and some fomatting improvements.

In one of the pictures, Koeke has a "night" rider and I'm missing a name. I could use a little help here.

Glad to here Koeke's daughter is out of the hospital.

The rally was a great success. Till the Spring rally. be safe.

                    Hill Country Rally song

I have not yet had time to post a ride report, but Nancy wanted me to post her song.
For those of you who were not there, she wrote this at the diner table Saturday night after the ride. She sang it to the group and we were all very impressed.
She has updated it a bit to better fit the tune.

On my hill country cycle trip,
my true love showed to me
A buzzard next to a mesquite tree.

On my hill country cycle trip,
my true love showed to me

And a buzzard next to a mesquite tree.

This group is amazing: song writers, inventors, and story tellers.

I added Renee to the caption. Thanks.

Gosh, you're right. In my younger day's, I'd be up till 4:00 am party-ing. I hate being an adult and responsible. Now I get up at 4:00 AM to build webpages and read email.

I'm glad I took the pictures and posted our ride; what a Kodak moment and memories...sure was fun. Stan

Sounds like the group had a fun weekend rally sorry I could not attend, back strain a few weeks ago flaired up Friday morning and I decided against the trip (150-160 miles).
Now I'm plannig for the Spring Rally, hoping to have the Midnight Special ready by then.
