    Rally or just dropping by

I' keep that in mind as we do the Rose City 250 and maybe the 500 this year. It may come your direction. That is if the invite goes out to any '11

Let me know when that is and I may head over that direction. I get to Portland a couple 3 times a month anyway.

I will be doing a lot of remodeling work on the place this year and if I'm not at a point that I can get away, I'll ride in or I could receive guests but the accommodations will be thin...

        Rally or just dropping by

Rose City 250 is Sunday April 7th. They don't tell you the route until you sign up.

I'll let you know on this forum that day where we ride. If not there's always the 500 on May 11

        Cheers

          Location

To help me with location could the guys in WA and OR tell me how many miles from Seattle or Portland you are, and in what direction.
I usually navigate by pubs, and porn and motorcycle shops, but have not been South of Bellingham for a few years.

To get to my place you need to take a ferry from Twassen ( sp wrong ) or Horeshoe Bay to Nanaimo and another ferry to Gabriola Island.
          T to N is 2 hours, HB to N is 1 1/2 hours, to Gabriola 20 minutes.
Or you could go Twassen to Swartz Bay, 1 1/2 hours and ride down to Victoria, and up to Nanaimo. About 75 miles.

Another option is to take the Coho ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria.
Or Annacortes to Sidney BC which is just South of Swartz Bay. This ferry only runs in the summer.

Unlike many of my Canadian friends I have a Nexus card and can travel to the states.
My past activities predate computer records.

Unkle Crusty when we get closer to Bellingham I will let you know. I have an old High School friend that lives there and plan to overnight in Bellingham, then cross over the border next day for a quick peek at Canada before returning there. Perhaps you can help guide our Canadian experience.

              JWH.
Bellingham is fairly close to the border.
Once across the border White Rock is minutes away.
There is a water front strip in WR that has a zillion restaurants and booze joints.
You can sit on the veranda of one of these places, beer in hand, and look across the puddle to Semiahmoo in WA. You can also see, on a clear day, some of the Gulf Islands.
Mrs Snippets and I will be away on the sailboat July to mid August. Then we may go to the Sturgess of the North event in Salmon Arm ( might be in Merritt )
Otherwise I can be on the mainland WR area most any time.
Gryphons missus woks in White Rock.

the Sportbike NW Rally in Stevenson, WA is a great relaxed get together ... you can ride whatever and they don't care ... I plan to be there on my ___ sorry the XS11 is long gone.

remember Van Ils 2005 .... good times !
