I have had a number of requests to ride to Sunrise State Park (Mt Rainier) on August 15th (Friday).

August 16th (Saturday) there will be a variety of two hour and half day rides around the local area setup.

August 17th (Sunday) there will be a ride down the Washington coast to the Columbia River and back up through Longview.

Check out http://home.attbi.com/~denellez11/pnw-03.html for more details and the most up to date information.

        Denny ,

With great sadness it looks like I might be a no show for the festivities this year.. My ex did a swap around on the schedule and now I'll have our 3 kids that weekend, if it changes i might come down for saturday, but that would probably be it, at the most..

oh well, at least they like to ride, and i can keep them busy on the xs in the neighborhood.. heck i should start charging...

If any body is keeping track....I made it out to Washington OK. 2808 miles. Unloaded the Bandit and rode around with Mike a bit today checking out the local bike shops.

Tuesday - about 624 miles to South Bend, IN
Wed - about 950 Miles to Bismarck, ND
Thurs - about 950 miles to Spokane, WA
            Fri - about 300 miles
(just estimates the total 2808 is right even though they don't add up)

Driving time 40.8 hours, ave speed 68MPH, Got right around 15.2 mpg in the Dodge Dakota V8.

Maybe I can be a go-between with two groups. The XS triples (750 - 850) group are riding Crater Lake in OR this comming weekend and Mt Ranier the following weekend (30-31).

Would be cool to have the two groups meet.

oops...I meant an info go-between. I'm not making any of these rides this year . Seems that last year the 2 groups have rides / rallys that 'almost' coincide.

Bike's running great, just (rattle can) painted it, I can't go anywhere <whine>

I hope that paint drying isn't all that's keeping you from going. ;o)

My bike looks like s**t and I'm going. I'm wondering if I have time to replace the rotted out mufflers with some Harley ones I got off eBay before I go. Not like that's the only thing I need to do to it.
