  • XSEast 2022

It’s that time of year to start planning for XSEast 2022. Per our discussions at Caldwell last year, we decided to return to Elkins WV, May 27-30, 2022.

Marty has provided some routes from the 2005 rally. Those were 230 and 215 miles. I may have to pare those down since most seem to prefer 180-mile routes.

I’ve reserved rooms at the Elkins Economy Inn, Elkins WV 26241, 304-636-5311. This is where the rally stayed in 2005 and has rooms that open out to the parking lot. However, they’ll be selling the place in March so I’m not sure to stay with them or go elsewhere. Other lodgings are available, but none have rooms open to parking. More like Super8 layouts. Comments?

I remember the 2005 Elkins Rally. Was that the UnXSpected Rally? It was a lot of fun for sure. http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6205&page=10 Unfortunately, pictures are gone.

Hope to get there. Haven't been to XSEast in a while.

Always prefer outside room entrances rather than a stupid hallway Darrell !

I think that could have been the first time I ever saw someone wheelie a GoldWing!

I would have loved to attend a rally if I was a bit younger. Met 1 member on here 1 time-Randy (Davinci) years ago and sold me a CDI box when he lived in a different location. Not getting any younger, and age and depression are starting to sink in. Still ride but always wonder how much longer. Attend a rally if you get a chance.

I'm not sure what's going on with Elkins Economy Inn. I can't get hold of anyone.

I made reservations at the Super 8, a block of 9 rooms under my name: Darrell Newcomb. Itinerary number 5136B296086252. 1-304-801-3047
