Do we have any members in that area? Scoping routes and restuarants from several hundred miles away is difficult. I have a cousin who lives fairly close to Niagara Falls. He may have some good routes he rides in the summer. However I think the area you were looking at is much farther west right?

Hi Mack,
I was looking at the area down by Point Pelee (sp)/ Kingville on the map all I can find is straight roads, a product of Lord Simcoe's plan of a grid system which might be efficient but is no FUN
I have ridden the Niagara Falls area and nothing down there caught my attention. Ask your cousin but having ridden in from Port Dover I found nothing. Port Dover is a flash in the pan on Fridays that land on the 13th.
I wonder if the shores of Georgian Bay would be of any interest ?
Bruce peninsular is on my own short list of place to ride but as a result I am not familiar with the area and perhaps to far out of the way.

did you look at the lakeshore rd or the Plank rd? yes we have a lot of straight roads a lot are up and down though

Secondary roads

I 've been consulting my secondary road maps and your right Phil, everything is a grid pattern. North- south, east-west, no personality at all until you get in the muskoka area. Then we are back to the same issue being well north and east of the border crossing.
Hamjam, how are you doing? Lakeshore has a few slight bends as it runs along the shore, but you'd be hard pressed to make it interesting for 250 miles. The shore line is just too straight.

I know a guy in Brantford that is familiar with Lake Erie roads.
There is also a guy in the Kincardine area who knows all the good roads up there.

We are both healthy and happy here.
Just keeping my head down and trying not to get noticed by the universe.
I've been pretty busy for a retired guy. Family seems to like keeping me occupied.
Cat and I got some good trips in last year. Pulling the bike out of storage this week. I think spring might have come to stay. No big trips planned for this year.
How's life treating you folks?
