    First XS Rally

I was able to book a room (single) today.

There are still rooms available but better not wait too long.

This will be our first rally with the XS11 group.

My Wife and I haven't been on the Eleven in 15 years and the last trip was to the Grand Canyon of PA. I remember we almost ran out of fuel on 660 and found a 1 pump station in a very small town I think it was called Bruce?

Super beautiful area can't wait !!!
1980 XS1100G "Dolly G" Full Dresser (with a coat of many colors )
    1979 XS1100SF (stock-euro mods planned)
    1984 XV700L Virago (to be hot-modded)
    1983 XJ750MK Midnight Maxim (semi-restored DD)
    1977 XS650D ( patiently awaiting resto)

Sometimes it takes a whole tank of gas before you can think straight.

Welcome John!! We are careful to have frequent gas stops that even Specials appreciate, so no worries!

        Thanxs for the welcome, Marty

We won't be on the SF as it's on the table slated for a few mods that'll be more or less my one up canyon carver.

We'll be showing up on the '80 G so lack of fuel shouldn't be an issue.

Only issue will be looks as I haven't been able to get the fairing, bags, trunk and front fender painted to match the tank and sidecovers yet.

Hope you guys don't mind the color scheme:

Thanxs Marco, maybe I'll rename her "The Dolly G" we all know She has great lungs

Thanxs to Gordon/ EastCoaster I have an original Venturer seat to go on in replacement of the stiff foamed travelcade in the pic. The HD backrest and grab bars were some work to get rightly fitted to the trunk and frame/seat but the wife is real happy with them compared to riding on the XJ750.

In better times we did have a shiny bike award, longest distance award, rat bike award (not always a true rat, usually something that ran well and wasn't very shiny, we are a fun bunch not trying to embarrass anyone) and the Harley Award for travelling furthest (or shortest, I forget which) with bike on a trailer. Most of those have gone away due to shortage of funds. Took away from the beer money....

Just be SURE your tires are in good shape - I will inspect.

The tires will be replaced before I let her out of the garage, as they have a manufacture date of 1996 This bike hasn't seen pavement since 2001 so I'll have to do some local short rides to make sure all the work I put into her over the years works

So far only 22 people and 18 bikes. Couple of maybes.

                          Small fast group!!

I remember writing the date on these when I dismantled the bike for resto, 'cause I had a feeling she'd be down for a while.

                            Front tire's a little younger than I thought 1998

Rear's a little older came with the bike when I bought it in 1992

These are Conti-Blitz that aren't made anymore but were a good tire.

Gonna order some new skins in a week or so along with some new rider gear for Linda and I.

                              Add a couple more

Icecycle here. Been mulling this rally over and over. Decided I'd better come and play. Booked the room today. Believe M is going to join me so add 2 Canadians and 2 bikes.
"first 60 years of childhood were real fun" Looking forward.
