    woodstove going

Its cool here now. 7 deg. Celsius' got the woodstove going, and Wayne in Ontario with 30 deg....bike unpacked now, resting with some red wine....reflecting on another rally.

    4000Kms

Think we ran about 4000kms in total...including rides and touring....
The Honda performed well and that big windshield kept me dry this AM....
Need a new front tire as the bike seems to be hard on tires...
One other thing I noticed the Honda doesn't handle crosswinds as well as an XS11, all the plastic wear perhaps.

    Dave and I

Were back home; Dave around 530PM me around 6PM...50 Deg. windy and overcast.....
We stayed in Edmunston , NB last night after a 9 hour ride. Today we stopped at Doug Mitchells for awhile, had coffee and yarned for awhile and he got his Tees Ralph....
It's always great meeting old friends and new at these rallies even if they all don't show up on our beloved XS11's...Cant thank all of you enough for all the work that went into making this all happen...Dena and Gary, Marty and Ralph and others we all appreciate your efforts.
I got pictures to forward, even a couple of Tina and Doug by their interstate.
Hoping I can get to another rally some time in the future in some fashion.
Dave forwards his thanks for putting on the event and meeting so many great folks and he is looking forward to another rally....
Jim Hamilton! I really missed seeing you!

Took the Long Long Way Home

Cat and I just got home, all safe, sound and happy.
We circled around the top of the Adirondacks park and spent the last night in Watertown.
No complaints about anything, we enjoyed it all, including toughing out the cold ride in. The food was great, the two day back to back routes were the best I ever rode. Of course the company was as much fun as ever too.
Thanks to all who put this rally together, I know it was a lot of work.
    We had a blast.
    Thx BDF & Cat
